Unfortunately and very sadly my very good friend Eric Bass passed away on the 22nd August.
He was the most generous and caring guy I have ever known.
He was passionate about computers and IT. He was my partner in our little hobby business, at Thinkers.com. We never made any money out of it but it was nice planning too! I will continue running it and evolving it in to something profitable.
He got me driving a Miata within months of him letting me stay with him post-divorce. He also shared his own divorce experience and advice, making my divorce a lot easier to cope with. It made it easier to look towards the future.
He told me that one day I would find that Jesus would be there at my side. I am still not too sure of my feelings on that, but like he found when the time is right it will be so.
He got me in to the world of online gaming. Unfortunately time doesn’t allow me to play that often, but there were quite a few days that Eric, Janice and I had a blast killing creatures in the virtual land. eric had no plans on dying, as shown by the fact that he purchased a new domain name the previous evening for a Guild he had created within the game.
Eric had great stories! From his time in Italy to his skin diving and flying stories.
I will miss being able to IM, email (although he never answered!), chat and see him.
