So we finally had our day in small claims court against Brian. We tried to mediate but he didn’t want to know anything about it. The judge awarded us everything she could, considering there was no contract for the work done. Hopefully we never see him , his friends, or family ever again. For true punishment I am sure Karma is just around the corner for him.
So he was a real so and so in court. Had nothing nice to say about me, yet I stressed we were happy with his work, just not happy he had ripped us off. He said I was a tight arse and wouldn’t pay for Pex plumbing, which he had told us he had used when in fact he used PVC, yet the funny thing was we did pay for Pex plumbing to replace the crap he did.
Mum and Dad really think he has been ripping us off for ages, with him not showing up for work, liberally using our supplies on his projects, and overstating hours. Like the time he had lunch with Kelly, didn’t tell us, but we saw him leave for hours on our video system.
We really want to move on now. We don’t think we will ever see a cent, but we will follow the process to get the money awarded against him. I really do not wish him the best, just that I never see him again. He started off as a great worker, but I know now I can do a better job on have the stuff he has done. Anyway enough said.
