So today is Casey’s Birthday. Lauren gave her a headlamp so she see her at night. Well that was the present to put her off the trail. I also had looked for ballroom dance classes as I know she loves dancing. I had no luck but said she had a rain check for some (perhaps I should have said one!).
So I organized for her to have massage in our lovely day spa with hand and foot treatments. Becky did a great job, and while she was up there I installed the fancy new kitchen faucet, which will actually work properly in the space. The damn tap on the hose is temperamental and leaks if it is not just at the right spot. So some tweaking there, otherwise it went in easy. although I do not think Casey was that surprised, I know she likes it. Not a personal gift but we both love getting things for the house.
We went to Red Robin for her birthday burger, and it was exceptionally good. Lauren has a munch on a fry, along with soem chocolate syrup. She loved both. I am a horrible parent.
Tomorrow Casey’s mum is coming down to look after Lauren and give us time to go to a nice dinner at Gardeners and see a movie. It should be nice.
I think Casey has a nice day. At least I hope she did. She seemed to!
