So life has been too busy. I cannot complain from a financial perspective as that has not been as much of a stress lately. Although I am sure as things slow back down as summer draws to a close we will be penny pinching even more again.
We have not had much time to socialize over summer. Life is busy, especially being an innkeeper tied in with the now three volunteer positions I do. Throw in Thinkers and an odd web site or maintaining other sites and I am too busy.
However the Thinkers work hopefully soon turns in to a proper paying job. The system I am having built is close to launch, and in turn I hope to secure a number lodging groups. Overnight I may be able to step away from the Inn for the most part and hire a full-time housekeeper to help Casey.
The idea would be to make enough money to lead more of the lifestyle people think we already have. A month in Australia a year and another month for big trips. Then the odd long weekend here and there, to somewhere like Seabrook or the like.
We ditched our crazy road-trip idea, when Casey’s mum also turned down the offer to be flown here or Casey and Lauren to go there. Driving for 5 days of a 7 to 10 day holiday were not appealing. We plan on doing it next spring or summer and taking longer, stopping in places along the way to sight-see.
So now we are waiting 10 more days for a smaller road-trip to Leavenworth, Arlington and the San Juan Islands, staying in Friday Harbor.
Now it is off to transplant some flowers after I check on the internet whether now is a good time or not!
