So a week or so ago I did a bad thing. I logged on to the PAII forums and made a dumb comment. I simply agreed with another Innkeeper whose opinion I respect greatly. I did not bother to check references or who owned the sites he had used as examples. I said the bad site example gave me nightmares, and there in caused a fellow Innkeeper to get a little upset. Not good. So I apologized and decided not to post at PAII for a while at least.
The PAII community seems pretty close-knit and supportive. That is great! I normally would post my own advice, and not just chime in. So my advice to fellow innkeepers is to state your opinion, back it up with your own examples, try not to make those examples from your own industry (well at least the bad ones), as you never know who you will be upsetting or treading on.
Online communities such as PAII, are a great educational tool, however in the Bed and Breakfast Industry you especially have to remember that you are talking to a wide and varied demographic of forum user.
